The school promotes artistry among students in visual and performing arts, catering for our student’s needs by providing the right facilities, such as a fully equipped art studio, performing art rooms and the availability of the school theatre for different performances.
Our students, across all streams, are welcomed to express their innovative and creative abilities, with the guidance of our educational art teams, through a variety of curricular, extra-curricular activities and school events.
Art events 2019-2020
Touring Museum visit:
The touring museum, one of the National Gallery of Fine Arts initiatives, visited our Years 1 & 2 MYP students. The students were introduced to the local art scene by artist Suheil Baqaeen and created beautiful artworks inspired by what they saw. The students connected this visit to November's unit about art history, researching personal and cultural expressions in art.
Annual Art Exhibition:
As Art plays a huge role in shaping our youth’s character, the annual art exhibition highlights the talented and hardworking students we have in the school. Showcasing a plethora of artwork crafted by using different skills and techniques that were taught all year through.
Choir and Musical performances:
Sounds and the expression of tones and notes are highlighted during our yearly Christmas choir performances and musicals across sections.
Theatre production:
In connection with famous literature, our drama students put together a magical performance that takes us back in time. From the dazzling costumes to the colourful lines that each character embodies, these productions leave viewers engaged with utter joy.
Book Fair:
At College de La Salle, reading assumes the highest priority, as we aim to stimulate our students to become life-long learners, and what better way to learn than through reading. College de La Salle hosts an annual book fair at the library in cooperation with a plethora of renowned publishing companies in Amman, Jordan. We hold two book fairs a year. One for the Primary school section, and another for the Middle and High school sections. The book fair includes books in Arabic, English and French as those are considered to be the main languages at our school.
